CapRescue Celebrates Community Spirit in August

August was an extraordinary month of generosity and community spirit, with countless acts of kindness contributing to CapRescue’s ongoing mission to save lives. From providing cover to coffee cups, canteens, cars—and everything in between—our supporters have truly gone above and beyond.

One of the standout stories this month comes from Storage Choice Gladstone. As our #WorkReady Van hits the streets to ensure the health and safety of Central Queensland employees, it needed a place to rest after a long day of service. Thanks to Lisa and her team at Storage Choice Gladstone, our van found a home free of charge. This gesture, combined with the profits from WorkReady directly supporting CapRescue, goes a long way in helping us continue our critical work. We also want to extend a special thanks to Barry Hamilton from 4CC Central Queensland for this invaluable connection.

Continuing with our WorkReady program, we are delighted to share wonderful feedback from our customers. Energy QLD recently shared their experience: “CapRescue’s WorkReady provided a professional fit-testing service with friendly and knowledgeable technicians. They were flexible with arrangements and happy to accommodate our scheduling requirements.” We are proud to play a role in ensuring the safety of their team and are grateful for their business and trust in us.

Our #Rescue300 member, The Two Professors, also made a significant impact by adding a special QR code to their coffee cups. This code invited customers to donate directly to CapRescue as part of the Feelgood Promotions – PAY IT FORWARD with KINDNESS initiative. Their efforts transformed an everyday coffee run into an opportunity to make a real difference in our community.

August also saw substantial financial support for CapRescue from various community organizations. The Gladstone Road Runners generously donated $5,000 during the Gladstone Community Open Day after a successful year of events. Additionally, the Paradise Lagoons Campdraft committee contributed $2,200 following four days of exciting action. These donations are crucial in enabling us to continue providing essential emergency services across Central Queensland.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Callide Valley Toyota for their many years of commitment to CapRescue. Their ongoing donations through their CTP Provider have been a significant help to our service. The Marlborough & District Lions Club, Queensland, also need to be acknowledged for their dedication to strengthening our community.

It was truly an “Awesome August” for CapRescue, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support. Every donation, kind word, and act of generosity contributes directly to our ability to save lives and serve our region. We look forward to continuing our lifesaving work throughout September.
