Clouds of Colour Hit Local Communities

RACQ CapRescue recently presented two of the most colourful fun runs of 2021 in Gladstone & Biloela! Participants were invited to run, walk, dance or stroll their way in a cloud of colour. With an energetic warm-up and 5km of colourful fun! There were two distance options (2.5km & 5km) to cater for all ages and abilities.

In previous years, the Gladstone community has enjoyed River Glow as a fundraiser for RACQ CapRescue. In 2020 we made the switch to Colour Me Capricorn and even in the rain and with COVID restrictions, we still had a fantastic turnout with everyone enjoying the event!

2021 did not disappoint, with amazing weather this year to cap it all off! It was great to see so many families come out early on their Sunday morning to participate in a colourful and fun event which raised vital funds for the Service. We received positive feedback and with over 200 participants on the day many are already excited for next years event!

For the first time ever, Colour Me Capricorn Biloela, presented by CS Energy exploded with colour across the Callide Valley on Sunday 24th October. The turnout from the community was fantastic with over 100 participants from around the area joining in on the fun and excitement of CMC Biloela! As an inaugural event, it was great to have the support from the Banana Shire with so many participants spending their Sunday morning covering Rainbow Street Sports Complex in colour!

These events are an integral part of continuing our lifesaving work within Central Queensland and together raised $22,000 for the service. We are required to raise over 40% of our annual costs through sponsorships, donations, and events such as this. We are grateful for the fantastic support we received for Colour Me Capricorn Gladstone & Biloela from our sponsors, staff and volunteers .
