Two unforgettable nights of fine food and community spirit have raised $39,500 to support CapRescue and keep Rescue300 flying across the region.
Since its debut in 2015, the CapRescue Degustation presented by QMAG has become one of Central Queensland’s most anticipated culinary events, uniting food lovers and supporters of the region’s world-class rescue helicopter service.
This year’s dinners, held at Headricks Lane, featured a superb six-course menu created by renowned Queensland chef Matt Golinski. Showcasing the best of local produce and paired with premium wines from Brockenchack Wines, the dining experience delighted guests from start to finish.
Adding to the festivities, entertainment by Dr. M’s Quizzology Services brought fun and energy to both evenings.
CapRescue CEO Darren Pirie said the Degustation remains a highlight of the organisation’s calendar.
“Two nights back-to-back, filled with incredible food, great company and overwhelming support — this event truly brings the community together,” Darren said.
“We pride ourselves on delivering experiences that individuals and businesses want to be part of, while keeping our focus on funding our lifesaving aeromedical and search and rescue services.”
The success of the Degustation was made possible through the generosity of sponsors including QMAG, Babcock Australia, Ja-max Industries, Jemena, Hastings Deering, JRT Group, Quest Rockhampton, Stokes Mining Services, and Aligned Chiropractic Rockhampton.
Guests shared their enthusiasm for the Degustation, with Jamax Industries saying, “Amazing! It was such a great night!” and Stokes Mining Services adding, “What a great event for a fantastic cause. We are pleased to be a part of it.” Evidence of this enjoyment was captured by Ol’Ringer Photography, with photos now available on CapRescue’s Facebook Page.
CapRescue welcomes local businesses and organisations to explore sponsorship opportunities for future events — supporting this vital community service while celebrating the best of Central Queensland.
