Dan Bagshaw

Pilot

GROWING UP IN SYDNEY’S OUTER WEST, JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM THE COMPANY HELIFLITE, MEANT PILOT DAN BAGSHAW KNEW WHAT HE WANTED TO BE FROM THE AGE OF 10.

Initially, Dan commenced his career in Helicopter Mustering. He then worked as a Utility Pilot in Northern British Columbia in Canada for the onshore gas sector & Papua New Guinea, moving and setting up drill rigs and seismic operations.

Now at CapRescue, Dan performs a variety of checks and completes required training when not in the air.

If the crew is tasked, he carries out the appropriate flight planning and liaises with his colleagues for the best way to undertake the mission.

Dan enjoys that his role is both rewarding and challenging and says that the fact that it’s providing a service for the community makes it one of the best in the world
