Congratulations to CQ Today who have celebrated 2 years in operation in Central Queensland. This wonderful local team are great supporters of #RACQ #CapRescue and help us to spread the message of our life-saving service.
From their first edition on August 27 2020 they have grown to two weekly editions, published on Wednesday and Saturday of each week.
Their staff have also recently celebrated the announcement by the Queensland Country Press Association that CQ Today was voted the best paid newspaper for 2021-2022.
The former APN print site in Hempenstall Street Kawana has also been recommissioned and is now under the operation of the Today Newspaper group.
This site was also refurbished to become the CQ Today headquarters.
They have been able to successfully publish a weekly newspaper each Thursday which distributes to the greater Gladstone region – aptly named Gladstone Today.
The Longreach Leader was also reopened in December of 2021 and Emerald today was launched in October.
Staffing levels have grown considerably to encompass all the new products and they are very proud of contributing to the local employment opportunities.
