Recently Reece Schulte of G&S Engineering (G&S), a wholly-owned subsidiary of DRA Global, visited the RACQ CapRescue hangar with an incredible donation for the helicopter service.
The $17,406 cheque was the result of the charitable staff who were donating a set amount out of each pay and the commitment of G&S to match their employee’s contributions dollar for dollar.
“G&S is proud to have reached the 12th Anniversary of our partnership with RACQ CapRescue through our workplace donation program that is helping to keep this vital lifesaving service available to the region.
We thank our employees for their generous donations each week and CapRescue for the incredible work they continue providing to the community.”
Community Engagement Officer Kim Moss recognised the significance of this donation to CapRescue.
“When staff are kind enough to donate out of their own pockets each pay, we are extremely grateful. But when the business then matches the amount, it shows us and the employees that their values and the organisations are aligned.”
“We are here to keep more than 300,000 people in Central Queensland safe and the support from G&S confirms they want the same for their friends, family and co-workers.”
CapRescue receives significant funding from the Queensland Government, however there is over $4 million that needs to be raised via valuable partnerships, sponsorships, events and donations from the communities serviced.
StepUp Workplace Giving is the payroll contribution program that gives businesses the opportunity to have a positive and lasting impact in their local community. Be seen as a supporter of an essential community service to current and potential employees.
