Ongoing Support from Squadron Energy

Early in November, CapRescue had the pleasure of welcoming Squadron Energy CEO Rob Wheals to our Rockhampton hangar. Rob’s visit wasn’t just a drop-in—it marked another chapter in a valued partnership that helps keep our air ambulance and rescue services ready to respond to emergencies across Central Queensland.

As Rob and his team toured our facilities, we shared stories of the many lives saved, and Rob reaffirmed Squadron Energy’s commitment to our mission. “CapRescue has been a cornerstone of emergency response in the Central Queensland community, offering rapid medical assistance and transport to those in urgent need,” he said. “With the summer season bringing increased outdoor activities and travel, demand is expected to rise, and we’re proud to support such an essential resource for the community.”

This ongoing support is more than just funding—it’s a lifeline that fuels our readiness for rapid response. “We’re incredibly grateful for Squadron Energy’s backing,” said Operations Manager Kirsty Wooler. “Having partners like them ensures we have the resources needed to respond when and where it matters most.”

In the past year, CapRescue clocked over 1,078 flying hours and completed more than 400 rescues across an area of 350,000 square kilometres.

With Squadron Energy’s support, we’re not only covering ground but also building strong connections with the community we serve, ensuring we’re always ready to help friends, neighbours, and loved ones in times of need
