All In a Weekend

Over the weekend of the 20th – 22nd September CapRescue performed five rescues, demonstrating our dedication to keeping the community safe. Among these were one motor vehicle accident, one primary response, and three interhospital transfers.

The standout mission was a primary response on Saturday afternoon near Stockyard Point, where they were called to assist a woman in her early 40s who had suffered a head injury while driving up to the Stockyard Point/Five Rocks area. With limited information and communication, the CapRescue crew winched their Rescue Crewman onto a 4WD track to locate her. Once found, Rescue300 landed at Stockyard Point, where she received care from the on board Critical Care Paramedic and Doctor. She was then flown to Rockhampton in a stable condition.

Interhospital transfers saw us covering the broader region, travelling to Theodore, Thangool, and Emerald, to ensure that vital medical care was accessible to those in need.

CapRecue are proud to serve the community, day in and day out, ensuring help is always there on your worst day.
