Generous end to 2023

In a generous conclusion to 2023, RACQ CapRescue received many donations, each playing a vital role in continuing their aeromedical mission. From Motorcycles to Christmas Fairs, Golf Days and Campdrafts, there are so many ways you can support your local helicopter rescue service.

To kick off the season of giving, past patient Kev Mauger attended a cheque presentation in Biloela from the Twin Valleys Motorcycle Club, securing an incredible $6,000 donation handed over by President Geoff Wilson.

The Caves and District Lions Club continued the spirit of giving with a generous $2,500 contribution. Dedicated CapRescue volunteers, Don and Lucy, attended The Caves Fair in the Square to show their appreciation.

Since 2018, the Resources Charity Golf Day has been fundraising for RACQ CapRescue; they raised over $11,000 this year. Scott Barwick of Yeppoon Golf Club and Peter Martin from Hastings Deering continue to make this event a success. Thanks to everyone who attended. They hope to see you again this year!

The Comet River Windmill Campdraft was a fantastic event showcasing the skills and spirit of the local community and raised an incredible $7,200 for RACQ CapRescue.

Finally, the AMWU Qld & NT Curragh Branch donated $10,000, bringing their total to over $60,000. This great group of workers value safety and community and understands the vital role that RACQ CapRescue plays in the region, especially the Central Highlands area.
