5 Ways You Can Help CapRescue

We’re fortunate to have ongoing and dedicated support from the people we serve. This isn’t just a nice thing to say, it’s the truth: over 40% of our funding comes directly from the community. Whether that’s through sponsorships, donations, community events, or something else, we’re so grateful to have the support of the people of Central QLD.

If participating in our life-saving service is something you’re interested in, then we’re keen to hear from you. You might have some spare time, financial resources, grand ideas or a big heart. The fact is we can’t fly without you. That’s why we’d love for you to sign up and support your community today.
One thing we often get asked is ‘how can I help?’ People want to participate but they’re not sure where to start. To help the people who want to help, we’ve put together our Top 5 ways to support RACQ CapRescue. Check them out – which one seems the best fit for you?

1. Become a Partner

We won’t lie; joining the RACQ CapRescue community feels good! And why shouldn’t it? The knowledge you’re actively supporting a life-saving service should feel good! It also brings myriad benefits to your business.

This includes taxation advantages, goodwill from your employees and the respect of the wider community. Plus – all those good vibes you’ll get from helping to save lives. There are plenty of partnership opportunities available, including Corporate Sponsorship, Event Sponsorship and our Rescue300 Club.

Your support is incredibly valuable to our service and we’d love to welcome you on board.

2. Volunteer with RACQ CapRescue

“I don’t have a million dollars to give, I don’t have one hundred thousand dollars to give, but I do have a few hours every month to give for free to raise money and awareness for this wonderful organisation. Whilst every dollar counts, so does every hour that can be given for free to help the organisation do what it does best. Save lives.” – volunteer Sue Neaton.

Does this viewpoint sound familiar? If you’ve got a few hours spare or a great skill you think would be beneficial to the team, why not volunteer and join us? It’s a great way to contribute to your community, meet new people and be part of something life-changing.

For over 24 years, RACQ CapRescue has relied on the generous support of volunteers to keep our service operating. If we’re going to keep going in the future, having volunteer support is essential.

3. Host a Fundraising Event

If you’ve got a passion for social get-togethers, then organising a fundraising event is tailor-made for you! It’s a whole lot of fun and very rewarding.

If you’re not sure where to start, why not recruit a group of friends or colleagues to share the experience with you? Sharing the work makes it easier and sharing the fun makes it more enjoyable.

And don’t worry, there’s not too much work involved – our fundraising team is available to lend skills and experience to help you out. We provide you with a detailed Fundraising Toolkit, along with all the resources you need. So dream big and go for it!

4. Share Your Story

Some people have a very personal connection with our service. Has RACQ CapRescue made a difference in your life? Have you or a loved one been rescued or transported by our crew? Let’s spread some positivity and share the stories of survival.

Let’s share the stories of how our amazing team makes a genuine impact on the lives of Central Queenslanders. Raising awareness about our lifesaving service is just as vital as raising funds. If you’ve been/are a patient, sponsor, volunteer or a passionate member of our community, help us share your story.

5. Workplace Giving
